Test Automation Guru
We are looking to bring in a consultant with expertise on automation frameworks to review our implementation.  A consultant would be brought on site to work along side our automation team and provide the management team a findings report. This findings report would provide an independent assessment that will confirm our strategy and technical approach to grow this capability.  This consultant would answer questions such as:

1.       Are we making proper use of modularization, global functions, and re-usable scripts?
2.       What tactical steps should be taken to improve our implementation and use of automation?
3.       What best practices are missing from our current approach?
4.       Should we continue to use QTP scripts or is Business Process Testing (BPT) recommended?  If BPT is recommended, then what is the ROI (show business case).
5.       Does the staff have sufficient skills and experience to build a best in class automation framework?  If no, then what knowledge is missing and how can we measure it?
6.       What metrics should we implement to measure the value of our automation efforts?

We will need to leverage tools such as HP QTP, BPT, and possibly other automation techniques where applicable.  We have made great strides over the past six months to move all legacy QTP test scripts into QC and integrate them with our manual test cases.  The team has abstracted re-usable functions and moved them into global libraries in QC and we’ve researched Business Process Testing (BPT) to see if it can improve our adoption of automation.  The strategy to grow this capability includes hiring an external consultant to confirm our automation approach is best in class in terms of cost, efficiency, usability, and scalability.  Once our technical approach and automation processes are defined, we can increase the resource commitment to this capability.

Please send a resume and lets chat!
